| ***New*** National Agriculture and Labor Day: Tree planting project Click Here if the Video is not Playing Our Learning Center Our School, built through our partners from the Restore a Child Organization, is the very first school that serves the "Bwa Pen" community in Haiti. We started with a handful of children; we now have over 300 students who are given an education of quality totally free of charge from Nursery to 9th Grade! ;) ;) ;) ;) ;) ;) ;) ;) ;) ;) ;) ;) ;) ;) ;) ;) ;) ;) We have many projects: Wall around school property: Haïti is a difficult place, "Tet Anba" upside down a term heard often from the Haitians. Security of gardens, school supplies, and even the water in the cistern is very hard to achieve. A physical barrier would improve survival of playground equipment, class materials, books, computers and solar panels upgrades. Almost all successful schools (and any structure) in Haïti have high walls and on site overnight security. Playground Equipment: At this time, we have virtually no equipments installed because of lack of funds and fear of them somehow walking away! We also have concerns about clearing some land for a soccer field as it would invite school abuse. Continued second floor construction of classrooms: Addition of 10th and higher grades; Starting with 7th grade Haïti Education requires instruction that is more specialized with teachers limited to few greater depth subjects. This will require expenses for teacher salaries and costs associated with increased 7th and higher grades students from transfers from other local schools that do not go past 6th grade. Computers for the Teachers and Tablets to be donated to the Students: Without any connection to the local very inconsistent electrical grid, We are planing of upgrading our Current Solar Panels Inverter System and Battery Bank. The school would also benefit from funds to improve classroom environment with better low but consistently payed teachers, in a country where many professionals are not. The Restore a Child Academy in Bwa Pen needs more funds to continue it’s efficient, sincere and valuable work. We are a young ministry that is up to the challenge to grow and mature into a community changing entity.
